MSAA 1984 Convention
of the Membrane Structures
Association of Australasia
Coated Fabrics for
Membrane Structures

30-31 May, 1984, Melbourne.
Editor: Bernie T Davis
For individual papers, see below,

For the first time the event is organised jointly with ACASPA, the Australian Canvas and Synthetic Products Association, who will hold their Convention from the 26th to 30th May at the same location.

MSAA 1984 Theme of Conference

For several years PVC coated synthetic materials have provided the bulk of coated fabric material used in the construction of membrane structures.
Nevertheless, basic properties of materials and methods influencing them are often little understood by designers and converters alike.
A panel of speakers, each one coming from a practical background, will highlight important aspects of material selection such as mechanical properties and testing methods, coatings and coating methods and weathering aspects.
A key paper from a leading overseas coater will highlight recent material developments and markets overseas.
The proceedings will be supplemented by overviews of the membrane structures industry and recent projects and by the Annual General Meetings of the Association.
